    Description


    Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our teamResponsibilities Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager & work under guidance from CNC LeaderSet up and operate mills and/or computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision partsPlan machining processes based on work orders and blueprintsSet up mills by tramming/indicating vices and work materialEnsure accurate alignment for efficient machiningAdhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain safe operationsComplete preventive maintenance requirements for equipmentDocument actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity across work shiftsReview 3D CAD designs and determine programming steps, including material cutting locationsConvert instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) programDetermine job order and perform associated calculationsCompose and revise programs for increased efficiencyQualificationsExperience with CNC machining and programmingExperience running Tarus 3+2 machines preferred Programming experience, preferably in WorkNC.Familiarity with Fanuc controllersWillingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloadsPreferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace, automotive or defense industry is a plusProficient in using Microsoft Office programsBenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceVacation and Holiday payEmployer matching 401KTuition ReimbursementFlexible Spending Programs (FSAs)Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insuranceEmployee Referral ProgramAdditional Voluntary Benefit ProgramsOff-site company events & Employee LuncheonsWho are we?Waltonen Engineering, Inc.
