- RNA and DNA extraction from cells and tissue samples.
- Perform RNA/DNA quality control, e.g. using Bioanalyzer or Tapestation instruments.
- Perform tissue dissociation and sample preparation for single cell/single nuclei RNA-seq studies.
- Prepare sequencing libraries from RNA/DNA and single cell/single nuclei RNA.
- Operate and maintain an Illumina sequencing instrument and other laboratory instruments.
- Maintain detailed experimental records using electronic lab notebook.
- BS in the Biological Sciences or a related field with 2+ years of wet lab experience.
- Proficient in common molecular biology techniques, including RNA and DNA isolation, PCR, bead purification, and molecular cloning.
- Ability to work effectively on a collaborative and interdisciplinary team of scientists, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- A highly organized individual with meticulous record keeping and strong written/oral skills.
- Experience with NGS library preparation and quality control.
- Experience working with animal tissue.
- Experience working with single cell technologies such as 10X Genomics' single cell platfor

The Opportunity
Denali Therapeutics is seeking to recruit an Associate Scientist to join our Discovery Genomics team to support our discovery and translational research activities.
The individual in this role will work collaboratively to execute and improve existing next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows and generate impactful data using various genomics technologies.
