Job description

Industrial mechanics manufacture devices, machines, and production systems, set them up, or modify them. They monitor and optimize production processes and take on repair and maintenance tasks. Industrial mechanics can work in almost any industry.

Duration and process

The apprenticeship lasts for three and a half years.
During this time, you will alternate between practical and theoretical training. During your practical training, you will work and be trained in the subsidiary companies of Stadtwerke Halle. The theoretical training takes place in a corresponding vocational school.

Apprenticeship salary

The amount of the apprenticeship salary depends on which subsidiary company of Stadtwerke you are assigned to. There is a valid collective agreement in place that also regulates the apprenticeship salary.
