WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The Digital Associate Product Manager plays a crucial role in the product team, overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to implementation and launch. Responsibilities include developing new services and features, enhancing existing products, and ensuring continual improvement.

The Associate Product Manager will collaborate with colleagues in design, product, technology, and programs to comprehend business challenges and opportunities, co-create digital solutions, and effectively communicate and document user requirements.


This position will mainly support RC Project, a system for grants and portfolio management within the International Services Department at the American Red Cross.

Developed using Amp Impact on the Salesforce platform, RC Project manages the complete grant lifecycle, from initial opportunity to project conclusion. It facilitates project execution, performance evaluation, reporting, change management, and closure.

WHERE YOUR CAREER MAKES A POSITIVE IMPRESSION (Key Duties):

  • Translates business strategies into product features and design; ensures alignment between technical and business teams regarding the strategy and proposed solutions to achieve business objectives
  • Facilitates the identification of core issues and desired business outcomes, including documenting user processes and stories
  • Examines business and user requirements, pinpointing potential opportunities, challenges, and risks in product design
  • Assists in organizing user stories into epics, phases, and functions
  • Oversees current and pending user stories in conjunction with technical and business product team members
  • Gathers product feedback and analytics from business, workforce, and client stakeholders for integration into ongoing product enhancements
  • Acts as a product consultant and mentor to new business stakeholders, providing necessary training and demonstrations
  • Prepares business units for and engages them in User Acceptance Testing. Supports the development and execution of QA and UAT test scenarios by QA and UAT testers, offering insights on expected product design and features
  • Anticipates UX/UI and accessibility requirements, collaborating with design resources as needed
  • Monitors performance metrics and assesses system change requests to maintain product integrity and minimize business disruptions
  • Drafts product-related communications and user training materials, such as knowledge base articles and release notes
  • Develops and updates knowledge of tech stack capabilities to facilitate efficient product design and refinement of business/program needs

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (requirements/minimal qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: Mandatory 7 years of experience, particularly in digital product management

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Technical/Functional:

  • Experience collaborating with diverse end-user communities and business stakeholders
  • Proficiency in product design and development processes
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Coordination, Project Management, and Communication:
