    Job Description:

    In your position as Capture Manager, you will provide leadership to capture strategic business opportunities for the company. The Capture Manager will lead all aspects of the capture plan and capture/proposal process and will be fully responsible for all capture activities from inception through contract award.

    The Capture Manager supports business unit leaders on driving their growth initiatives and must achieve unprecedented levels of capture process quality and increased competitiveness by driving interdependent, timely, and streamlined execution of the capture/proposal process.
    • Develop a targeted plan of tactical business development and strategic marketing activities needed to accelerate growth given current Blake Willson Group (BWG) experience and skills and likely changes to the market in the future (proactive and strategic considerations). This plan must be maintained and updated in perpetuity.
    • Coordinate with business unit leaders to build and maintain a qualified pipeline to include continual status updates, bid-no-bid decisions, teaming arrangements, and calculated p-wins.
    • For every given opportunity, drive the capture strategy as follows:
      • Win strategy development - Develop a capture strategy that synthesizes information regarding the customer, competitors and BWG's strengths and weaknesses. Create a sound business case and value proposition based on customer requirements.
      • Plan the capture - Translate the win strategy into a comprehensive capture plan and proposal development plan including win themes and discriminators.
      • Execute the capture plan - Communicate the vision of success that inspires and energizes the capture team. In a fully matrixed environment, build an organization structure focused on winning new business by integrating internal (business unit leaders) or external (teaming partner) representatives into a smoothly operating and cohesive capture team.
    • Gain and maintain stakeholder (senior management, partners, and teammates) buy-in and support, and commitment of right resources to win.
    • Prepare and lead milestone reviews for corporate leadership, and other reviews as required once the opportunity has been assigned.
    • Developing budgets (costs of acquisition/bid costs) and executing against budgets with new business initiatives.
    • Collaborate with BWG SMEs to develop solutions that offer customers recognized value, are price competitive, executable, and will be evaluated favorably.
    • Draft, develop, and review proposal documentation, technical approach documents, resumes, past performance, and related submittals.
    • Mentor early career personnel in key capture team roles.
    • Instill practices and behaviors that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Provide leadership in fostering business area/function interdependency and maintain process accountability.
    Required Skills:
    • BS/BA degree or above from an accredited university or college.
    • 8+ years of capture/business development in our industry.
    • 3+ years of leadership experience.
    • Strong technical and proposal writing experience.
    • Understanding and experience with small business set-aside and sole source programs for 8(a).
    • Proven results at competitively winning new business as capture manager on programs of increasing value to over $25 million total contract value.
    • Experience building and strengthening teams to execute strategies and win new business.
    • Experience with customer focused marketing and a proven track record of effectively using matrix organizations to get results.
    • Experience in competitive analysis, customer analysis, win strategy development, conduct of color teams and price-to win analysis.
    • Working knowledge of US Government contracting, contract types/vehicles and procurement processes.
    • Demonstrated proficiency using Federal Contract sourcing tools (GovWin, eBuy, etc.).
    • Strong capability in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
    • Experience with GWACs (STARS3, GSA MAS, etc.).
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
    • Must be a team-oriented multi-tasker with demonstrated strong reasoning and communications skills, both oral and written.
    Desired Skills:
    • The ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
    • Relevant certification(s) (APMP, CCM, etc.).
