- Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures.
- Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

- Delegates tasks to assistive personnel in a respectful professional manner.
- Identify patient problem and collaborates with the Anesthesia / Surgeon / Perioperative team in the selection of appropriate interventions (tasks).
- Interacts with members of the health care team to plan and coordinate the perioperative care.

- Conducts appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments, and document findings.
- In collaboration with the anesthesiologist, determines the appropriate anesthetic plan of management, manages all aspects of anesthesia care to include preoperative, perioperative, and immediate postoperative care.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures.
- Provides airway management and/or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, and resuscitation situations throughout the hospital.
- Anticipates and exceeds patients and customers' expectations that meet all elements of the Henry Ford Experience.
- Identifies services and care improvement ideas and act on them to create excellent customer experiences.
- Demonstrates, supports, and assumes personal accountability for consistently upholding team members to the standards across the System and adhering to Henry Ford Health policies and procedures.

- Independently uses and documents the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.
