Title: MRO Buyer

Shift: Day Shift, option for Hybrid work environment, WFH 2 days/week

Pay: $65k-$85k

MRO Buyer Role:

The MRO Buyer is responsible for managing the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and services to support our operations for our US manufacturing locations.

MRO Buyer Responsibilities:

Demonstrates company values and shares the organizational commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and a high-performance workforce through positive employee relations.

Follows all environmental health and safety (EHS) policies, practices, protocols, and regulations. Proactively addresses any potential EHS issues and reports any unsafe conditions. Sets a positive example regarding EHS and a safety-first culture.

MRO buyer oversees setup of equipment or systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Negotiates contracts, improves prices and terms of business with suppliers, and reviews opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.

Expedites and coordinates critical deliveries, emergency requisitions, and quotes to ensure on-time delivery metrics are met. Contacts suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues in a timely manner.

Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased to maintain quality and necessity of products.

Maintains indirect supplies, including tooling, chemicals, oils, abrasives, PPE and tooling vending suppliers.

Manages utility providers and takes advantage hedging opportunities where applicable. ? Prepares reports and updates as required, such as spend analysis and supplier analytics to ensure effective decision-making.

About You:

3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment with low volume/high turnover with degree, or 7 years of related experience without a degree

Experience with procuring indirect materials and machine tooling is required.
