Description
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate electric walker/overhead pallet truck, mechanical stretch wrapper.
- Written and verbal communication, reading, math, problem solving.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. High School Diploma or GED
- Education requirements can be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience
Abilities:
- Recurring physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, crouching, reaching. Lifting 50 lbs. or less and pushing 150 lbs. or less.
Warehouse:
- Dealing with the ongoing heavy activity from interaction with associates to operating forklifts to move skids
Chemical Room:
Exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes.
Manufacturing:
- May need to move about close proximity to equipment.
Responsibilities:
- This job description covers skills and responsibilities for the Warehouse Associate.
- The Warehouse Associate is responsible for handling the daily responsibilities of issuing and receiving materials and chemicals to the manufacturing areas.
- Perform receiving functions. Receiving, inspect to specification & delivery of raw material as required.
- Receiving of Internal WIP material from affiliates. Verification of Packing Slip matching received product / Lot #, product description. Q.A. stamp of Certificates of Analysis (COA) for materials deemed acceptable.
- Elevation of COA discrepancies to Warehouse Management and Quality Systems Management for discrepancy resolution. Verification of materials after discrepancy resolution. Stage accepted material in appropriate location.
- Ordering raw materials to meet the business needs. Manage minimum maximum Kanban inventory levels, working with buyer and internal suppliers.
- Issuing materials to the manufacturing departments.
- Packing materials to ship to affiliates.
- Issuing chemicals to manufacturing departments.
- Perform cycle counts when required.
- Issuing delivered goods to addressee.
- Unload deliveries and contact owners for instruction.
- Maintain MRO items to meet business needs. Ensure compliance with company policies and business practices including FDA (Food & Drug Administration) regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) requirements.
- This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
- Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement. Failure to meet requirements of the position could impact production schedules/operations.
