    • Shift: 4x10 Friday-Monday 830p-7a or 3x12 Friday-Sun 7p-730a

    The role of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist involves operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images on patients of all ages for various purposes.

    Responsibilities include performing MRI procedures, assisting with therapeutic procedures, and conducting complex imaging reformatting.

    Technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care are key elements in providing accurate diagnostic information.

    • Maintain knowledge of human anatomy, MRI physics, medical terminology, and safety protocols
    • Assess and monitor patient vital signs during procedures
    • Ensure high accuracy in imaging techniques
    • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers

    Continuous learning and professional development play a crucial role in enhancing patient care.

    Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

    • Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB)
    • ARRT-MRI

    Experience REQUIRED: One (1) year of previous MRI Technologist work experience

    Experience PREFERRED: One to three (1-3) years of previous MRI Technologist work experience in an academic medical center environment

    Education/training REQUIRED: Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology or a JRCNMT accredited program in nuclear medicine technology

    Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field

    Independent action(s) required:

    • Independently perform MRI imaging exams and procedures
    • Evaluate and prioritize workload based on patient needs
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards

    Additional position requirements:

    • Weekend only shifts
    • Must have immediate access to a home or cell phone

    Age Specific groups served: All

    Physical Requirements:

    • Lifting 20-50 lbs.

    Other: Activities include prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and computer interaction

    Mental/Sensory:

    • Skills required: Strong recall, problem-solving, reasoning, and clear communication
    • Emotional resilience in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
