    Job Title: Employment Specialist

    Company: Young Adult Borough Center (YABC) and Learning to Work Center at Thomas Jefferson Campus High School

    The Employment Specialist role at Young Adult Borough Center (YABC) and Learning to Work Center is an exciting opportunity to support New York City high school students in achieving their graduation goals through a unique educational program. The program not only helps students earn their high school diploma but also equips them with essential career skills for their future.

    Job Description:

    • Recommend qualified candidates for paid internships
    • Monitor job postings
    • Contact candidates for interviews
    • Follow-up on applicant statuses
    • Provide work readiness counseling
    • Manage program operations
    • Develop and monitor outcome measures
    • Recruit businesses for job listings
    • Supervise projects and presentations

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate should have a minimum bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 4 years of employment placement experience, particularly with youth. Experience in a high school or post-secondary setting is preferred.
