    We are looking for an energetic individual with a passion for Horticulture with an emphasis of Purchasing and building client relationships for our Gainesville, VA branch.

    Responsibilities:

    • Sourcing, acquiring, and coordinating the delivery of plant and construction material
    • Negotiate the best pricing for product materials and their delivery
    • Responsible for issuing and managing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, processing invoices, and tracking related job costs.
    • Interdepartmentally builds relationships and supports the Project Management Team
    • Sourcing and pricing new suppliers if necessary
    • Prepare submittals for plants and selected hard materials when required
    • Ensure that growers deliver high-quality material
    • Reconcile and approve purchase orders and invoices for plants and selected hard materials
    • Monitor plant palette inventories and coordinate with internal team members to ensure horticultural best practices
    • Assist the monthly financial closeout
    • Assist with logistics and strategic project planning
    • Develop positive relationships with Landscape Architects, Brokers, and Vendors

    Qualifications:

    • Extensive knowledge of plant materials including shrubs, trees, and turf
    • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
    • Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
    • Ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Background in Horticulture, Turf Management, Greenhouse or Nursery required
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook

    Responsabilidades:

    • Abastecimiento, adquisicin y coordinacin de la entrega de plantas y materiales de construccin
    • Negociar el mejor precio para los materiales del producto y su entrega
    • Responsable de emitir y administrar rdenes de compra, coordinar entregas, procesar facturas y realizar un seguimiento de los costos relacionados con el trabajo.
    • Establecer relaciones con colegas y apoyar al equipo de gestin de proyectos
    • Abastecimiento y fijacin de precios de nuevos proveedores si es necesario
    • Preparar presentaciones para plantas y materiales slidos seleccionados
    • Garantizar que los proveedores entreguen material de alta calidad
    • Conciliar y aprobar rdenes de compra y facturas para plantas y materiales slidos
    • Supervisar los inventarios de paletas de plantas y coordinar con los miembros del equipo interno para garantizar las mejores prcticas hortcolas
    • Ayudar con el cierre financiero mensual
    • Ayudar con la logstica y la planificacin estratgica de proyectos
    • Desarrollar relaciones positivas con arquitectos paisajistas, personas interesadas y proveedores

    Calificaciones:

    • Amplio conocimiento de materiales vegetales, incluidos arbustos, rboles y csped.
    • Habilidad para leer y comprender planos y especificaciones
    • Capacidad para construir relaciones slidas con subcontratistas y proveedores
    • Habilidad para negociar con proveedores y vendedores
    • Fuertes habilidades de comunicacin escrita y verbal
    • Fuertes habilidades organizativas y de gestin del tiempo.
    • Se requiere experiencia en horticultura, manejo de csped, invernadero o vivero
    • Conocimiento avanzado de Word, Excel, Outlook
