We are seeking a Procurement Specialist I to join our diverse and talented team at the Office of Enterprise Services - Acquisition.

    Position Overview:

    The Procurement Specialist I will have a demonstrated aptitude for this type of work, and a strong motivation to learn and grow in the field of government contracting. This is an entry-level opportunity to advance along the Procurement Specialist career path and potential to be promoted into a senior role in the future.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform pre-award activities such as: analyzing requirements, conducting market research, recommending revisions to statements of work/specifications, determining the appropriate type of contract, establishing milestones, conducting procurement planning, and developing solicitations
    • Conduct post-award activities such as: coordinating with contractors to ensure full understanding of terms, handling modifications, and resolution of issues related to non-compliance
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • BS/BA degree in procurement/contracting, business/finance or communications preferred
    • 1-3 years of experience in a contracting/grants environment. (Internships and summer employment can be included)
    • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Small Business Socio-Economic statutes and specialized contracting methodologies including Strategic Sourcing initiatives and the use of Delivery Order / Task Order contracting
    • Strong analytical skills
    • DAWIA or FAC-C Level I preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to obtain an OPM Suitability Clearance
    • U.S. Citizenship required
