- Prepare and review all necessary import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, customs clearance forms, certificates of origin, and shipping labels.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards.
- Coordinate and monitor the shipment of goods for both imports and exports to international destinations.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange transportation, clearance, and delivery.
- Track and report shipment status to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in import and export laws, trade sanctions, and regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Complete and manage import and export license applications when required, and maintain accurate records of permits.
- Communicate with international customers and suppliers regarding shipment details, logistics, and order statuses.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to imports and exports.
- Collaborate with the inventory and procurement teams to plan for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, imports, and exports.
- Optimize shipping costs for both imports and exports while maintaining quality service.
- Generate regular reports on import and export activities, including shipment schedules, costs, compliance metrics, and inventory status.
- Ensure that all imported and exported goods meet quality standards and are properly packaged for international transport.
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, international trade, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in coordinating both import and export activities or international logistics.
- Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in using import and export documentation software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt to changing situations.
