    Description

    This job involves overseeing air permitting projects from inception to completion and requires excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with personnel across the company. The position also involves working with the Corporate Environmental Compliance team to help implement new programs across the company.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Title V and New Source Review Permitting: Determine the appropriate permitting mechanism for new projects and complete permitting for new and modified oil and gas facilities.


    • Regulatory Analysis: Conduct regulatory analyses to determine how a rule applies to new and modified oil and gas facilities.


    • Collaborate directly with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver business objectives.


    • Communicate effectively with different levels of the company on permitting and regulatory requirements.


    • Communicate effectively with external organizations on permitting objectives and basis.


    • Engage and manage consultants on air permitting projects, as needed.


    • Provide assistance as an air permitting Subject Matter Expert (SME) in compliance audits and resolving issues concerning environmental compliance, as necessary.


    • Maintain a working knowledge of existing and proposed regulations that affect oil and gas operations through training classes, lunch and learn sessions, and conference attendance.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


    • 8+ years of air permitting or environmental compliance experience


    • Air permitting experience in the oil and gas industry or consulting environment.


    • Air permitting experience in New Mexico and Texas.


    • Demonstration of effective project management skills.


    • Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as external organizations such as regulatory agencies, contractors, and consultants.
