    Description

    Responsibilities:

    As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will lead the application of fire protection engineering principles to conduct fire risk analysis in various industrial facilities, systems, and processes. Your role will encompass:

    • Leading quantitative fire hazard analysis and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with NFPA Codes and standards.
    • Applying expertise in DOE Orders and DOE-mandated codes and standards related to fire protection.
    • Utilizing advanced computer-based analytical methods for fire hazard analyses.
    • Providing clear and effective communication through written reports, presentations, and technical discussions.
    • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire protection measures into project designs.
    • Conducting thorough site assessments and inspections to identify fire hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or Fire Protection Engineering from an Accredited Fire Protection Degreed Program.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering, with a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
    • Extensive knowledge and practical application of Building and Fire Safety Codes, NFPA Codes, and Standards.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, with demonstrated experience in preparing detailed engineering drawings.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong planning and organization skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to tackle new challenges.
