    **Duties**

    ** Summary**

    This position is located in the U.S. Mint, Manufacturing Department, Denver, Budget & Accounting Division. The Denver Mint is responsible for manufacturing coin dies; storing silver bullion; and minting coins, including circulating coins, numismatic products and annual uncirculated coin sets, and commemorative coins as authorized by Congress.

    **Responsibilities**

    As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will:

    + Monitor and analyze usage transactions and trends to mitigate possible material shortages; track the timing of reorder actions; prepare systems entries; and oversee all coining material related activity to ensure that inventories are accurately reported and maintained.

    + Establish material replenishment needs and initiates action to ensure timely contract modifications and the delivery of material in-time to meet production requirements to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

    + Utilize inventory tracking systems and control records to respond to user inquiries regarding material availability. **Travel Required**

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    For the GS-9, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service**. Specialized Experience** for this position includes:

    **- Utilization of an asset tracking system; AND

    Performing physical inventories for an organization; AND

    Documentary control of the receipt and or issuance of stock property items) in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures.

    OR

    You may qualify with a masters or equivalent graduate degree.

    OR

    2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a masters degree.

    OR

    L.B. or J.D., if related.

    OR

    Combination of the education and experience. For example: the completion of 50% requirements for J.D. and 6 months of specialized experience.** **Education**
