Description
As the Production Planner, you will be responsible for demand and production planning.

You will own the scheduling for production and are able to support the supply of goods to customers on time whilst monitoring raw material availability/finished goods in allowable stock levels.

This role reports to the Operations Manager and is located onsite in our Wallingford, CT. facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Use your planning knowledge to release, print and handle work orders in accordance with MRP and the production schedule.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to prioritize, expedite and deexpedite work orders based on material availability, work center resources and capacity, and customer demand requirements.
  • Data analysis to support raw material supply and finished goods demand
  • Monitor and report low inventory of raw materials and finished goods
  • Coordinates and communicates requirements with Procurement to ensure that materials are purchased or expedited in the appropriate quantities and timeframe to meet production needs,
  • Participates in lean activities including Kaizens and 6S standards for department

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in production planning
  • Familiar with ERP systems
  • APICS Certification is a plus
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
