As a
Production Supervisor, you will lead the shift team to make in-spec product per production schedule while embracing the PPG Operating System.

The shift supervisor is an integral part of the operation and has extensive interaction with production staff, cell leaders, and key leadership members of the plant.

The Production Supervisor must maintain close supervision over all coatings production activities with respect to safety and employee morale.

**This is a 3rd Shift Position

Key Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and set priorities to achieve the production schedule
Plan and prioritize resources for production schedule and staffing requirements
Ensure team members are trained; manage development; and address performance issues through coaching, mentoring, or progressive discipline
Develop people's abilities and attributes, provide meaningful performance feedback team members
Followup on issues from previous shifts; ensure shift performance concerning EHS, PSM, Environmental, Reliability issues and update leaders at shift changeover
Lead root cause investigations using LSS tools
Ensure work instructions are accurate and uptodate
Coordinate team member participation in continuous improvement activities

Qualifications:

Two year degree is required
5 years previous experience
Understands production schedule, production capabilities
Prior experience as a Supervisor of production personnel, is an asset.
Bilingual is a plus
