Your responsibilities will include:


Mapping of the bat species group:

  • Independently conducting bat mappings in the field and handling mobile detectors
  • Identifying common species based on the modulated sounds of the detector
  • Call analysis/data evaluation using identification software
  • Familiarity with common guidelines for offshore bat surveys
  • Preparation of mapping reports

Note:

This position is advertised for multiple locations: Hamburg, Rostock, and Greifswald.


You are a good fit for us if you:

  • Have proven long-term experience as an onshore mapper
  • Have proven experience as a mapper of bats offshore (especially at wind turbines)
  • Are willing to travel throughout Germany during the mapping period
  • Want to integrate well into a team
  • Are physically fit
  • Have a valid Class B driver's license (car) is essential

Desirable qualifications include:


  • Additional knowledge in the field of environmental impact assessments
