    In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper

    Pay Rate:

    The Springfield Office Team provides caregivers for the Central Illinois area including Sangamon County, Menard County, Morgan County, Logan County, and many others. We are seeking one-of-a-kind individuals to join our team today Our caregiver jobs are for individuals who are truly committed to providing compassionate care to senior adults and those in need. We employee individuals with strong backgrounds in home care or elderly care, a history of community involvement and, most of all, big hearts.     Visiting Angels Springfield supports the seniors with daily living responsibilities such as light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, one-on-one mobility assistance and providing transportation and much more.

    Visiting Angels is also an opportunity for personal growth, Offering the opportunity for advanced training in areas like Dementia Care or Alzheimer's Care so that caregivers can continue to develop their skills.

    In Home Caregiver
    • Housekeeper ResponsibilitiesHelp clients take prescribed medicationAssist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
    Assist clients with personal care and hygieneHelp clients with routine exercisesPlan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shopPerform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their ownBe a pleasant and supportive companionReport any unusual incidentsAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyIn Home Caregiver - Housekeeper RequirementsPassion to serve others - a true caregiverExcellent knowledge of emergency response and first aidKnowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraintsWillingness to adhere to health and safety standardsRespectful and compassionateGood time management skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ethicsPhysical enduranceHigh school diploma or equivalentOwn a vehicle with current insuranceSocial Security Card
