    Overview:
    Are you a passionate Scala Developer looking for an exciting opportunity in New York, NY? Join our team for a contract-to-hire position where your skills will be valued and where career growth is encouraged with the possibility of conversion within six months!


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain efficient backend services and APIs utilizing Scala and related technologies
    • Collaborate with diverse teams to comprehend requirements and translate them into innovative technical solutions
    • Write high-quality, organized, and sustainable code while following coding standards and best practices
    • Conduct unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure code reliability and excellence
    • Resolve intricate technical issues promptly and efficiently
    • Keep abreast of the latest Scala development trends and technologies

    Qualifications:

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
    • Demonstrated experience as a skilled Scala Developer or in a similar role
    • Proficient in the Scala programming language and well-versed in functional programming principles
    • Hands-on experience with Akka, Play Framework, or other Scala frameworks
    • Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture
    • Strong grasp of database concepts with practical exposure to SQL and/or NoSQL databases
    • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail
    • Thrive in a collaborative team setting
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
