About The Role

The IT Systems Administrator I will support all aspects of the network and server environment. This position also provides support with iSeries hardware and operations as needed. This includes the availability, security, monitoring, upgrades, applications, education and maintenance of all software and hardware systems. This position guides junior technical staff. They rely on extensive knowledge and professional discretion to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

Maintain and support company networks, technical systems, and business applications.
Maintain and support security measures to protect all company data, software, and hardware.
Upgrade software licensing and track hardware inventory for replacements.
Apply and maintain configurations and applications of software and hardware per Senior Systems Administrator direction.
Provide client support, equipment, and education for all systems, all locations, and all employees within Trail King.
Performs daily operation and maintenance of the IT environment.
Confirm execution of system backup plans.
Analyzes performance data and evaluates operational efficiency of all IT systems.
Maintains detailed documentation of systems changes, configurations, standard work and user usage instructions are maintained and current.
Communicates the status of all Network operations to Senior Systems Administrator.
Maintains SANs, Active Directory, Window Servers, VMWare, SQL and Phone Systems.
Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 2-year IT related college degree or equivalent preferred plus a minimum of 4 years IT experience with a minimum of 2 years Systems Administration experience. Must be experienced with Windows Server, VMWare, Assure, SQL, MS Exchange, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Phone Systems and SANs. Optional experience includes Mitel Phone Systems, and iSeries. Self-directed with a knowledge of a variety of technologies and applications. Possess the ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships within all levels of Trail King. Excellent oral and written communication and comprehension skills. Organized project management skills including critical thinking, problem solving, active listening and prioritization. Analytical thinking, and confidentiality a must.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Must be able to work up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to sit for long periods, stand, and walk and climb stairs as necessary.
Must use necessary PPE to enter manufacturing area.
Occasional lifting of 10 to 40 pounds.
