Job Description:


As an Expert Packaging & Consumables (all genders) at zooplus, you will be a part of our Engineering Team, responsible for strategic activities and further development of consumable materials used in our 13 Fulfillment Centers (FCs) across Europe.

This includes packaging design, sustainability, and collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will also work with goods suppliers to ensure products are e-commerce ready.


Your tasks:

  • Analyzing virtual parcel data against reality
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor initiatives
  • Defining technical specifications and requirements for new suppliers/products
  • Supporting sourcing department with technical expertise
  • Establishing standards and guidelines for supplier evaluation
  • Recommending efficiency tools and test methods for packaging designs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Process Engineering for Paper and Packaging or Paper/Packaging Technology
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial or consumer packaging
  • Profound knowledge of packaging design validation standards and drafting/specification standards
  • Experience in leading complex projects
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and understanding of supply chain business
  • Excellent English language skills
