    Description
    Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a part-time Central Access Intern for our Bloomington/Normal location.

    Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services.

    Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to over 700 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health, and primary care treatment to patients in Central and Southern Illinois.

    We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers.

    Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.


    Assist Access Department in various administrative duties, including, but not limited to: tracking, report building and maintenance, auditing, and data entry.

    Participate in individual supervision and team meetings for personal and departmental development. Present a courteous, respectful, and professional demeanor to clients, visitors, and other staff during normal business operations.

    Maintain filing systems (both electronic and physical), document in electronic health record, and complete data entry for reports with a high standard of organization and attention to detail.

    Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and client information.

    Unpaid position requiring an individual to be enrolled and working in a certificate program to become a recovery support specialist through an accredited college or working towards an undergraduate degree in the healthcare field.

    Requires basic organizational skills and verbal (including phone) and written communication skills.
    Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook) preferred.
