    Career TEAM is looking to hire an Outreach Specialist that will perform professional work providing administrative support for operation of RESEA Program Services for the East Texas area. Reemployment Services & Eligibility Assessment is a federally funded program designed to provide intensive reemployment assistance to individuals who are receiving unemployment insurance. Work is performed under the supervision of the Business Services Manager. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Career Team's Tyler, TX location.

    • Your Impact on Career TEAM's Success:
      • Utilize the state computer system, Work in Texas (WIT), to perform outreach to RESEA eligible individuals as directed per state and local guidelines.
      • Contact customers by phone, email or text for upcoming appointments and document in WIT as appropriate.
      • Reschedule individuals as requested/permitted using prescribed guidelines.
      • Follow up outreaches as appropriate and document using the state case management system.
      • Completes scheduling requests while greeting, answering inquires and engaging with customers as needed
      • Reschedule or modify schedules as needed to ensure proper coverage for customers
      • Reschedule or modify schedules as needed to ensure proper coverage for teammates
      • Promptly notify team members of changes or modifications to schedule
      • Maintain/review employee approved vacations to allow for proper scheduling of customers
      • Complete related data entry as appropriate utilizing WIT and/or supporting tracking systems.
      • Assist with enrollment procedures as needed, following all applicable policies, procedures and regulations; ensure case files have originals and/or copies of eligibility documentation
      • File documents in individual case files for each registered customer assuring that each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements
      • Contact customers as directed regarding registration for Metrix, work readiness classes, Hiring Events, and related activities, providing registration and follow-up reminders as needed.
      • Manages department schedule by maintaining calendars for department personnel
      • Maintain team travel schedule and notifies team members of need to travel when required
      • Notate proper systems of outcomes of schedule and/or customer interaction
      • Other duties and projects as needed in support of RESEA operations and customers.

    The Ideal Qualifications for this Role Include:

    • 2+ years of experience in office administration
    • 2+ years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
    • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • A Valid Driver's License

    Additional Skills/Knowledge Career TEAM Would Love for This Role:

    • Associate degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience and knowledge of WIOA workforce development contracts/programs
    • Astounding ability to multitask and be proactive

    Salary: $16/hr - $17/hr

    Employment Type: Full-time, non-exempt employee

    Travel: Position may require local travel up to 10% of the time
