    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Enrolls new employees, terminates exiting employees, initiates COBRA, and ensures accuracy of monthly invoices for the various carriers.
    • Researches routine benefit questions/issues to provide timely resolution of problems.
    • Monitors eligibility dates, processes new enrollees and changes. Acts as liaison between employees and carrier.
    • Coordinates with special projects, i.e., open enrollment, performance management, town hall meetings, training programs, and annual employee events such as employee appreciation day, summer picnic, Christmas celebration, etc.
    • Responsible for providing administrative support for HR.
    • Supports and maintains safety initiatives.
    • Processes payroll for hourly and salaried employees
    • Maintains and keeps up-to-date personnel files and HR files.
    • Recruits, interviews and administers testing for new applicants.
    • Extends offers of employment.
    • Reconciles and processes invoices from benefits carriers.
    • Reviews monthly COBRA reports and ensures payments are received from COBRA administrator.
    • Submits new hire, termination and various other reports for management.
    • Coordinates annual open enrollment.
    Requirements

    COMPUTER SKILLS:
    • Advanced computer skills.
    • Proficient knowledge required in the use of Word, Excel, Power Point.
    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Represent Compact Industries in a professional manner when dealing with vendors, customers, applicants and employees.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects/deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
    • Able to handle confidential information appropriately.
    • Able to work efficiently under deadlines.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish
    • Must be able to sit stand and walk.
    • Occasional lifting of boxes weighing approx. 20lbs.
    • College Degree in Business or related areas to HR is a plus.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with responsibility reporting and previous exposure to Human Resource functions.
