- Hires, trains and leads members of the Office for CME
- Provides daily guidance to the staff of the Office for CME
- Preparation of financial analyses including business plans for new ventures
- Preparation and oversight of the budget for CME
- Define the changing role of CME in the emerging health care environment
consistent with the ISMMS and CME missions - Develop policy initiatives and pricing guidelines for CME programs
- Collaborate with ISMMS Departments to identify new areas for course
development - Act as a conduit between the academic departments and the Department of
Medical Education on issues related to CME - Promote and oversee CME activities within departments.
- Responsible for ensuring that every CME activity sponsored by the medical
school adheres to the ACCME Essentials, Guidelines and Standards - Work closely with program directors in planning, implementing and
evaluating CME activities - Develop and promote CME activities in all health system and affiliate
hospitals - Minimum of five years CME experience
- Progressive responsibility in a Academic Health Center
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to interact with a variety of constituencies both on and off campus
- Fiscal savvy and demonstrated sales ability
- Savvy with the use of technology and the capacity to engage in technical
discussions - Strong customer service orientation

- BA/S Degree; Masters Degree preferred

Description
Job DescriptionIcahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) invites applications for an experienced, strategic individual to serve as its Director of the Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME). The Director has an overall responsibility for the day-to-day direction and management of the Office for CME. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Administration and the Associate Dean for CME the Director is responsible for working with faculty throughout the health system in creating and delivering educational programming. The Director will work to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic business plan that will increase revenue and provide a vehicle to promote lifelong learning through the provision of educational experiences for physicians and other health professionals.
