    We are working with a nationally recognised civil and structural engineering firm in the Philadelphia region who are looking for a Structural Engineering Manager to expand their structural department.     Responsibilities:

    • Liaising with clients to understand the project requirements, and then developing the project scope, schedule, and budgets to align with the project goals.
    • Overseeing engineering drawings and structural analysis assessments ensuring all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
    • Leading and mentoring of engineers to assign tasks between the team, and encouraging a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
    • Ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of work through quality control measures, audits, and site inspections. Identifying and minimizing any risks which would steer the project off track
    • Engage and build relationships with clients to provide project updates, and address any potential concerns or challenges, as well as working towards opportunities for future business
    • Responsible for financial management, including tracking projects to keep them within budget, and ensuring accounts receivable are collected upon project milestones.
    • Proactive and business development mindset to help leadership teams with preparing proposals and winning business with both new and existing clients.

    Required Skills:

    The qualities of a candidates that would be the perfect fit include, strong organizational and problem solving skills, and an engaging personality to be able to build and strengthen relationships with both internal teams and clients.

    • 8+ years work experience in structural engineering, including several years leading and mentoring teams of engineers
    • Advanced knowledge of construction methods and materials of projects in the commercial, residential, healthcare, life sciences, advanced technology, mission critical, or other similar industries.
    • PE license in the state of Pennsylvania and Civil or structural engineering degree.
    • Familiarity with any applicable legal regulations.
