- Supervise a team of Peer Support Specialists within the TASC program, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training.
- Ensure the effective delivery of peer support services by conducting regular evaluations, providing feedback, and addressing any concerns or challenges that arise.
- Identify gaps in service provision and develop strategies to enhance the quality and accessibility of peer support programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and community partners to promote coordination and integration of peer support services within the broader justice system and community resources.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, agencies, and service providers to enhance collaboration and leverage resources.
- Advocate for the unique needs of Peer Support Specialists, promoting ongoing self-care, wellness, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement initiatives to promote the peer support program's growth and sustainability, including outreach efforts, program expansion, and funding opportunities.
- Travelling to TASC offices where peer support services are co-located to support staff, clients, and ongoing operations.
- High school diploma or higher
- North Carolina Peer Support Certification with a minimum of eight years of experience in peer support services, preferably within a justice-related or substance-use setting.
- Proven experience in supervising or mentoring peer support staff, including the ability to provide guidance, support, and feedback.
- Strong understanding of justice-involved populations' dynamics and challenges, with a commitment to trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to identify programmatic needs, develop strategic plans, and implement solutions to promote program growth and sustainability.
- Knowledge of community resources, agencies, and service providers, with the ability to facilitate collaboration and coordinate services effectively.
