About the Position


As the Bilingual Outreach Coordinator, you will support the Communications Team through voter outreach events, tours, and other communications to provide election education, enhance voter confidence, and support our mission.


Under the direction of the Communications & Outreach Manager, you will educate and build relationships with county and state agencies involved in elections, community leaders, and voter-based organizations.

You will also assist in translating materials designed to educate and inform voters about elections.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in planning and implementing community outreach efforts, building relationships with community partners, staffing tabling events and presentations, and a thorough knowledge of the English and Spanish language.

We are looking for someone who can contribute to a team environment, be willing to learn new tools and complex election information, and demonstrate a high level of integrity, accuracy, and professionalism.

Job Contributions- Assist with the staffing, planning, coordinating, marketing, and execution of in-person and virtual voter outreach events, meetings, and tours designed to enhance voter confidence and education- Conduct proactive research for new outreach opportunities and potential partnerships in the community to create engagement with the local community- Maintain the voter outreach calendar of activities, events, tours, workshops, and meetings; create presentations using PowerPoint and other educational materials using graphic design platforms- Collect data and information and prepare reports to measure the effectiveness of activities using Excel spreadsheets, social media platforms, and software programs- Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of the organization's departments, workflows, and processes and stay current with relevant developments (i.e., Election Laws and Statutes)- Provide translations of press releases, website content, newsletters, handout materials, and other communications designed to educate and inform voters about elections- Ensure the Spanish website content, the Spanish Elections Glossary, and the voter education events webpage is accurate, and updates comply with state laws and election deadlines- Work efficiently in a team setting and be highly organized and detailed; prioritize work effectively with a variety of projects while meeting multiple deadlines

Working Conditions- Work equally occurs in a business office setting and out in the community- Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification- Must be eligible to vote in Arizona and pass an applicable background screening- Extensive mandatory overtime is required at periods throughout the year consistent with elections and outreach events- Ability to move objects by lifting floor-to-waist (up to 25 pounds) and pushing/pulling (up to 50 pounds)- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire

Selection ProcedureMust pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive
