Description
What do medical technicians (m/f/d) do?
Due to the rapid development of computer technology and medical technology, medical technology has become a promising high-tech field. The proper use, maintenance, and repair of modern medical equipment requires highly trained specialists.

Theoretical instruction and practical training on the latest computer and laboratory technology, a six-week internship in a hospital or in the medical-technical industry, as well as the completion of a technical project, qualify medical technicians (MT) for a variety of interesting job opportunities.

Medical technicians install and operate equipment, advise doctors on technical questions, and train them in its use. They operate and maintain complex medical systems and devices.

As members of a medical technology department in a hospital, they install systems on site and support users, such as doctors and nurses.

They also provide training on the use of newly acquired (and existing) equipment on behalf of the manufacturer or specialized retailer.

They are responsible for ensuring the proper and safe condition of machines that could potentially save lives. They may also manage a sales territory and advise customers on procurement and operation. They may also establish themselves as independent medical device consultants or dealers. Additionally, they have the opportunity to pursue a career in equipment and component development.

The high level of specialization and increasing complexity of medical equipment make medical technicians indispensable.
