Senior Manager, Communications - Palo Alto, United States - Stanford Blood Center

    Default job background
    Description

    About Stanford Medicine:
Stanford Medicine is comprised of three entities: Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford Health Care, and Stanford Medicine Children's Health and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford

    Our mission is tripartite:
to promote fundamental, clinical, and translational discovery; to train the leaders of tomorrow; and to transform patient care.

We believe that the patient is at the center of what we do—and that to provide the best care for every patient requires pushing the boundaries of discovery, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and delivering compassionate and coordinated care.

We are living in the middle of a biomedical revolution—a time when new knowledge and technologies are accelerating the pace of biomedical discovery.

With this comes enormous potential for treating and curing disease. Stanford Medicine is uniquely poised to lead this revolution.

Over the last 60 years, our unrivaled atmosphere of interdisciplinary exploration and collaboration has produced many of the innovations that sparked this revolution:
MRIs, gene splicing, and stem cell medicine were all born on our campus.

Today, that same atmosphere, amplified by the astounding intellectual, technological, and financial capital that surrounds us in Silicon Valley, gives us an extraordinary opportunity to win the race against disease before it even begins— to prevent disease before it strikes and cure it decisively if it does.

At Stanford Medicine, we are drawn to difficult problems, and the advances we seek are not incremental in nature but paradigm-shifting.

We understand that successes are typically built on many failures and believe we can help build a better future for all people.

We value innovation and impact, creativity and courage. We believe in the power of diversity to fuel new ideas and approaches. We are leaders and innovators, partners and pioneers.

We are the clinicians, scientists, and educators who are writing the next great chapter in the history of human health.
