    Description

    Summary: Thermcraft, located in Winston-Salem, NC, is a leading provider of innovative industrial heating solutions. Our Technical Sales team plays a pivotal role in our sales division, focusing on B2B quoting, estimating, customer consultations, and recommending tailored products to meet customer specifications. We are looking for a candidate who has technical knowledge with sales expertise to determine the cost estimates for products or services being sold to clients. Their primary responsibility is to provide accurate and competitive pricing to customers while ensuring profitability for Thermcraft.     Location: Thermcraft, Winston-Salem, NC/ Hybrid

    Essential Functions:

    •Prepare material estimates and cost projections for products.

    •Carry out timely routine follow-ups on quotations.

    •Liaise directly with customers on progress and to resolve any technical queries.

    •Conduct technical presentations to describe how Thermcraft's products align with customer applications.

    •Collaborate with customers and Engineers to ensure equipment meets system requirements.

    •Communicate closely with the sales team to comprehend customer demands and provide necessary sales support.

    •Build strong customer rapport and foster product acceptance.

    •Strategize modifications to products to align with consumer demands.

    •Assist clients in resolving issues related to product usage.

    •Recommend new and improved products to customers, emphasizing cost-effectiveness.

    •Conduct quoting and estimating for customer projects.

    •Interface effectively with internal engineering teams.

    •Undertake any other duties as assigned.

    •Occasional overnight travel, approximately 10%.

    Requirements

    Competencies and Attributes Needed:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, communications, etc. or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably knowledge of manufacturing and engineering in a B2B environment
    • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Self-motivated with strong project management and organization skills with the ability to take initiative to manage projects and meet goals.
    • Proficient with software including Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems with the ability to learn Thermcraft's internal systems.
    • Knowledge of design, engineering, and production principles, practices and methods.
    • Sense of urgency: in your work and your capacity to influence others toward action.
