    Russell is currently seeking a

    Business Development Manager

    in our Los Angeles, CA office.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our program management sales initiatives to drive business growth and operational excellence.

    Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing key programs from conception through to execution.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful program outcomes that align with our strategic objectives.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

    Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
    Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of programs, ensuring they meet business objectives, deadlines, and budget requirements.
    Foster and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support business development and program management objectives.
    Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to develop integrated programs that support business objectives.
    Assist with developing and implementing strategies for program risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
    Assist with monitoring program performance, prepare reports for senior management, and make recommendations for enhancements.
    Assist with ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourages others to comply with safety rules and regulations, including wearing of personal protective devices.

    Strategic Planning and Execution, Market Analysis and Expansion, Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement, Contract Negotiation and Acquisition, New Business Development and Market Penetration, Partnership and Alliance Building, Competitive Analysis and Positioning

    Los Angeles Market Knowledge:
    Deep understanding of the Los Angeles market, industry trends, and competitive landscape

    Brand Ambassador:
    Represent Russell in local industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings, enhancing our brand visibility.

    Project Management:
    Project Lifecycle Management, Quality Assurance and Control, Design Quality Management, Configuration Management, Change Control Procedures, Document Control, and Records Management

    Industry Knowledge:
    Heavy Civil/Infrastructure, Schools and Transportation Sector, Construction Project Controls, Public and Private Sector Collaboration, Regulatory Compliance, Government contracts

    Networking and Relationship Management:
    Building and Nurturing Strategic Partnerships, Developing and Leveraging Professional Networks, Community Engagement, and Involvement

    Communication and Collaboration:
    Effective Communication and Presentation Skills, Cross-functional Team Collaboration, Client Relationship Management

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
    Proven experience in business development, program management, or a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
    Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building successful partnerships.
    Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
