Busy Dermatologist office seeks team player for full-time Medical Assistant position
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Assist Physician with exams and procedures, administering medications, and performing tests
- Assist patients with questions about medications and wound care
- File charts; ensure all related reports, labs and information is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
- Take telephone messages; provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and PA's
- Clean and restock examination rooms
- Sterilize instruments
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
- The ability to perform phlebotomy
Job Type:
- Fulltime
- Pay starting at $20 an hour
Experience:
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Dermatology preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
