Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director Lead or Sr. Director of Technology to lead our team of Generative AI data scientists, partnering with technology and business partners.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead solutioning discussions for the application of generative AI methods and tools to address business needs, as well as deliver AI solutions in partnership with other technology and business areas, grounded in deep expertise with AI.
The Director Lead/Sr.Director of Technology will collaborate closely with our AI Platform teams, Business Line CIO teams, and Digital Product & Experience teams to advance GenAI solutions rapidly enterprise-wide.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Generative AI data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.
Collaborate with technology and business partners to understand their needs and identify opportunities for applying AI methods and tools to address business challenges.
Conduct solutioning discussions with stakeholders to define AI project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.Drive the development and implementation of AI solutions for value delivery, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and objectives.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies, and provide thought leadership on their application to business needs.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team, guiding experimentation and exploration of new AI techniques and tools.
Collaborate with the AI Platform team, business line CIO technology teams, and Digital Product & Experience teams to leverage existing infrastructure and resources to accelerate the development and deployment of AI solutions.
Partner with responsible AI oversight, risk, and platform teams to build responsible AI in practice, deploying GenAI model testing, performance evaluation, and monitoring of AI solutions and making necessary adjustments and improvements as needed.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in AI, and provide recommendations for incorporating emerging technologies into our AI strategy.
Innovate and develop commercial products and services that Ally may offer to other companies or consumers.Actively participate external AI industry and academia partnership, contributing to open source community and AI equity.
Qualifications:
Master s degree in quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or similar field of study (PhD preferred).
Strong knowledge and expertise in AI methodologies, tools, and technologies, with a focus on Generative AI.
Demonstrated experience in conducting solutioning discussions and delivering AI solutions to production or clients that address business needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Familiarity with AI platforms, infrastructure, and cloud technologies is a plus.
Proven track record of driving innovation and delivering business results in the field of AI.
