- Gain familiarity with several international sustainability rating systems, assessments, and frameworks (CDP, GRI, LEED, ISO, UN SDGs, SBTi., SASB, EcoVadis, GHG Protocol etc.)
- Support industry research and peer benchmarking of ESG risk and performance profiles
- Collaborate with 3R staff on the development/creation of templates and tools to support the advancement of client work
- Analyze sustainability trends and conduct market research for various industries
- Support the 3R consultants in supply chain engagement work including decarbonization initiatives
- Create data visualizations
- Support and participate in thought leadership opportunities (i.e., article writing, blog creation, business development)
- Obtain a credential to support the selected intern(s') career advancement within the sustainability industry
- A masters student (or 1-2 yrs of experience) in sustainability, supply chains, engineering, business, science, or related field
- Familiar with Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), Supply Chain Management, and GHG Accounting
- Detail oriented to contribute to and support the 3R team, project management, and administration
- Knowledgeable on how to assimilate and analyze operational and environmental data for compliance, indicators, and trends
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent with problem-solving, time management, organization, and proactive communication skills
- A positive, helpful, team-focused person with a strong initiative and willingness to learn and work
- Passionate about sustainability and the underlying engineering, business, and policy impacts, roles, criteria, and technology
- Willing to jump-in on any task that helps the team meet its objectives

Contract: Internship-(Internal), 25-40 hrs/ week – (June- August, 2024 with a potential to extend)
Remuneration Range: $21.50- $27.50; based on experience
Internship Summary
3R Sustainability is looking for 1-2 sustainability-passionate interns to support active consulting projects through various initiatives. The intern(s) would work closely with the 3R consultants to analyze data, conduct industry research, support ESG-focused rating system documentation and submissions and much more. Interns that work at 3R have the opportunity to collaborate directly with 3R's sustainability professionals to advance a breadth of sustainability initiatives across a wide range of industries. These initiatives routinely include those related to: sustainable procurement, emissions reduction, sustainability report writing, policy creation, data management and green building certifications.
