    KE Camps is the leading company in providing summer camp experiences for children at country clubs nationwide. We work with a wide range of private clubs throughout the country to offer traditional day camps for elementary-aged kids.     At KE Camps, our Camp Counselor positions present exciting opportunities to serve as well-paid internships that can fulfill your course credit requirements.


    Primarily, your role will involve serving as a Camp Counselor. As an Intern, you will need to handle your regular daily duties in addition to fulfilling the requirements of your internship without letting them interfere with your job tasks. It is advisable to consult with your college advisor beforehand to determine if you can leverage your summer camp job for practical training, intern credits, or other course requirements. If KE Camps aligns with your internship criteria, your on-site Camp Director will act as your supervisor, overseeing your coursework. You will also have a designated KE Camps contact at our headquarters in Skillman, NJ. To receive credit, you must successfully complete the assigned course, practicum, or internship according to your college's guidelines, along with fulfilling your summer employment obligations.


    As a Camp Counselor, you will actively participate in all camp activities and assist the Camp Director with various daily tasks, all aimed at creating a memorable and impactful camp experience for the children. Our Counselors engage with campers throughout the day, aiding them in making friends, exploring new things, and ensuring their overall well-being. The Counselor's role involves active involvement, building relationships, and having fun while prioritizing the safety and emotional well-being of every child.

    Camp Counselor Qualities

    • Help children develop character, gain experiences, and acquire insights
    • Ensure campers' health and well-being at all times
    • Maintain high energy levels for full-day participation in activities
    • Prior experience in working with children
    • Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
    • Certified in CPR and First Aid or willing to obtain certification before the summer season

    Camp Counselor Responsibilities

    • Supervise a group of campers to create a fun, safe, and exciting camp environment
    • Collaborate with fellow Counselors and the Camp Director
    • Welcome families and campers upon their arrival
    • Assist the Camp Director in setting rules and emergency protocols for campers
    • Engage in all camp activities
    • Directly supervise swim sessions in the water (lifeguard certification not mandatory)
    • Assist and lead activities as requested by the Camp Director
    • Complete any other assigned duties

    Our camp is situated at The Pittsburgh Golf Club in Pittsburgh, PA. The camp will run from Monday to Friday starting on June 24 and ending on August 16 - all staff members must commit to working for the entire camp season.
