    KE Camps is the top provider of summer camps for country clubs throughout the nation. We collaborate with over 230 private clubs nationwide to deliver traditional-style day camps for elementary-aged kids.     Our Camp Counselor positions offer the opportunity to serve as well-paid internships that can fulfill your course credit requirements.


    Your main role will be as a Camp Counselor. As an Intern, you'll need to handle your daily responsibilities and ensure that your internship duties don't clash with your work commitments. Reach out to your college advisor beforehand to see if your summer camp job can count towards practicum, internship, or other course credits. If KE Camps aligns with your internship criteria, your on-site Camp Director will supervise your field work. Additionally, you'll have a KE Camps contact at our HQ in Skillman, NJ. To earn credit, you must fulfill your college's course, practicum, or internship requirements and finish your summer job.


    As a Camp Counselor, you'll actively engage in camp activities and assist your Camp Director with various tasks to create a memorable and enriching camp experience for the children. Counselors spend the day interacting with campers, helping them make friends, explore new things, and ensuring their well-being. Your role is to engage, build relationships, and have a great time while prioritizing every child's safety, both physically and emotionally.

    Camp Counselor Attributes

    • Help kids develop character, experiences, and insights
    • Ensure campers' health and safety at all times
    • Maintain high energy levels for full-day activities
    • Prior experience in child care
    • Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm under pressure
    • CPR/First Aid certification OR willingness to obtain it before summer commences

    Camp Counselor Responsibilities

    • Supervise a group of campers to ensure an enjoyable and safe camp experience
    • Collaborate with fellow Counselors and Camp Director
    • Welcome families and campers upon their arrival
    • Help establish camp rules and emergency procedures with campers
    • Participate in all camp activities
    • Supervise swim sessions hands-on from within the water (lifeguard certification not mandatory)
    • Assist where needed and lead activities when requested by the Camp Director
    • Complete assigned duties

    Our camp is situated at Pittsburgh Field Club in Pittsburgh, PA. Camp dates are Tuesdays to Fridays during the weeks of June 18, June 25, and July 16 - staff members must be free to work the entire camp season.
