    Job Title: Ambulatory Nurse Coordinator at MedStar Health


    General Summary of Position
    Are you a skilled nurse searching for a fulfilling opportunity? MedStar Health is looking for a motivated Ambulatory Nurse Coordinator to join the Urology Surgical team. This role is integral in shaping the future of patient care within this specialized ambulatory setting.


    Overview of the Role
    The Ambulatory Nurse Coordinator will oversee the operations of designated ambulatory practice(s) associates, supervise clinical and support staff, provide direct patient care, and assist physicians. They will establish and maintain operational policies and procedures in collaboration with physicians and the administrative director.


    Key Responsibilities
    - Set goals/objectives for the work group to support the MWHC business strategy. Address obstacles hindering goal achievement.
    - Manage the daily patient flow of designated ambulatory practices, adjusting schedules as needed to prioritize patient needs and minimize wait times.
    - Supervise clinical and support staff, establish work schedules, make assignments, and conduct performance evaluations.
    - Monitor and manage the unit's budget in consultation with physicians and the Administrative Director. Forecast activities, costs, and recommend equipment/instrument procurement.

    Qualifications
    - Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
    - Active DC RN License.
    - Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing and medical office practice experience.
    - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
