    Job Description

    EHS Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple locations within the designated region.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide EHS training to employees and promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive EHS initiatives and best practices.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to EHS activities, reports, and compliance.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for EHS-related inquiries, inspections, and audits.
  • Monitor emerging EHS trends and regulations to ensure my client remains at the forefront of industry standards and practices.

    Successful EHS Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field (or relevant experience); relevant certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in EHS management roles
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations, with a proven track record of ensuring organizational compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams across diverse locations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs and strategies.
  • Skilled in conducting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver EHS training, reports, and presentations to various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the designated region and occasionally nationally for audits, meetings, and trainings.
