- Job Summary:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner III responsibilities include providing respiratory care by assessing, planning, intervening, educating, and evaluating patients. This involves various procedures like oxygen delivery, ventilator care, and diagnostic services, as well as patient and staff education.
- Provide clinical instruction and training to staff and students.
- Support clinical learning through mentorship and practice evaluation.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and design programs for measurable outcomes.
- Conduct data collection, maintain records, and evaluate equipment.
- Participate in councils and committees.
- Act as the shift Charge Therapist, ensuring adequate staffing levels and coverage.
- Assist physicians with various procedures.
- Perform CPR and airway management techniques.
- Conduct prescribed therapeutic procedures and maintain patient airways.
- Evaluate blood and urine lab values.
- Maintain equipment and respond to emergencies.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care school (required)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in related fields (preferred)
- Current Respiratory Care License
- NBRC credential, RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (required)
- NRP, CPFT, RPFT, ACCS certifications (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals
- Good customer service, organizational, and time management skills
- Accountability, data interpretation, and feedback reception
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training (preferred)
