- Develop, design, and implement mechanical solutions including but not limited to new IDB designs and mechanisms while managing constraints in cost, manufacturing, structural integrity, and customer ease of use.
- Establish process controls and process optimizations with the objective of improving product quality, uniformity, repeatability, and cost.
- Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost-effective for the manufacture of company products i.e. 3D Printers.
- Ensure process capabilities and yield targets are met.
- Develop project documentation including specifications, 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, schedules, and presentations to capture and communicate the mechanical design to achieve the defined project goals.
- Complete ROI data collection during implementation of projects, as well as all R&D as required.
- Support all necessary manufacturing issues which could include process safety concerns, customer quality concerns, supplier and/or vendor quality investigations, shipment concerns, and product sort/rework activities.
- Responsible for product testing and product releases related to production.
- Evaluate software and hardware technology as requested.
- Design and execute tests validating the operation of software, hardware, and processes.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (Preferred).
- 3+ years of experience as Mechanical or Material Engineer.
- Experience in design verification and validation (Preferred).
- Possess above-average writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people solving skills.
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certification (Preferred).
- Demonstrated success in a changing and high-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
