    Description

    Our client, a leading manufacturer in Hopkinton MA, is expanding and seeks to add an Accounting Associate / AP Clerk to their growing team.

    Salary/Hourly Rate:

    $55k – $70k

    Position Overview:

    This Accounting Associate / AP Clerk role involves managing revenue and paying invoices through the verification and completion of payable and receivable transactions.

    Responsibilities of the Accounting Associate / AP Clerk:

    • Process invoices for payment and print and mail accounts payable checks.
    • Perform data entry and manage spreadsheets.
    • Maintain accounts payable files and records.
    • Execute day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
    • Collect and allocate customer payments.
    • Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
    • Process credit card payments.
    • Audit and review expense reports submitted through Concur, ensuring validity, accuracy, completeness of receipt documentation, and compliance with internal policies and IRS guidelines.

    Qualifications for the Accounting Associate / AP Clerk:

    • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.
    • Proficiency in English with strong writing skills.
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Excellent communication skills for business-to-business correspondence.
    • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working within constantly changing priorities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with Microsoft NAV is a plus.

    Education Requirements:

    • Two-year certificate from a college or technical school, one to two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
