- Provides coverage for all non-exempt positions within the department, including, but not limited to Access Specialist, Patient Placement Coordinator, and Access Coordinator.

Experience:- Admitting and Meditech experience preferred. One year experience in hospital environment required. Knowledge of third party payers preferred.Education and Training:
- Two years of college (secretarial/health related) or equivalent work experience.

Other Requirements:- Proven typing ability (40 wpm) and computer skills (ie. Meditech).
- Manual dexterity necessary for typing/computer purposes.
- Ability to speak the English language in a clearly understandable manner.
- Ability to speak/understand Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to learn quickly in order to become proficient in all areas of the department. Ideal candidate will demonstrate and maintain a high level of flexibility and be able to adapt to any shift.
- Proven ability to interact appropriately with the community, hospital staff and physicians while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Proven, outstanding customer service skills, consistently demonstrating a professional, pleasant presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proven ability and experience dealing with agitated/dissatisfied persons.
- Must possess and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
