Are you an experienced Business Analyst? Are you passionate about Business Analysis methodology? Are you interested in supervising a team of highly motivated Business Analysts? The Strategic Business Office (SBO) is looking for a Senior Business Analyst (BA) to join their team The SBO is responsible for helping the agency align business strategies with technology investments and ensuring that business objectives are met. The SBO leads agency-wide, legislative, strategic, and high-risk projects directed by the Legislature, federal government, and/or the agency's Executive Leadership Team to further the mission, vision, values, and core processes of L&I. The SBO is an integral part of the Insurance Services division and helps to build capabilities within the organization including planning, resource allocation and execution of high value and time sensitive divisional initiatives. We align business strategies with technology investments to meet customer needs and deliver the agency's highest priority and time-sensitive IT investments. We are looking for someone who can keep projects on track while training and mentoring others on the key ideas of successful BA work. Duties

Some of what you'll do:
Provide leadership and supervision to a team of professional business analysts (BAs).

Ensure clear standards for functional and non-functional requirements elicitation, elaboration, and requirements management are maintained, enforced, and communicated to team members to ensure consistent application and improve the quality of the work products provided.

Elicit and document business requirements, system requirements and functional requirements for business and system enhancements, work requests from system failures, new legislation, and other sources of change.

Requirements will range from simple enhancements to new mission critical applications.

Lead in-depth current state and future state business process and systems analysis to identify and document L&I team's business needs.

Participate in project planning, project governance and the application of project management principles, methods, and practices assigned projects and initiatives.

Conduct research and provide analysis to support business and IT decision making.
Develop and deliver business process and system training plans and materials.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
*The following experience can be earned simultaneously:

Two (2) years * * of education in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field.

*Relevant IT certification or Business Analysis Certification can substitute for one (1) year of education.

Four (4) years of demonstrated experience with eliciting, documenting, analyzing, and managing functional and non-functional requirements of highly complex projects.
