JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Respond to job leads in timely manner.
  • Respond to all residential and commercial leads immediately.
  • Determine appropriate "Emergency Services" and coordinate if required.
  • Be available 24/7/365 for going out to support emergencies.
  • Must be available for "on call" (after hours) as needed.
  • Inspect called in jobs and visit jobsite timely.
  • Take required digital photos of damages and upload timely.
  • Scope damages to prepare estimate using xcel and Xactimate. Write Estimate of damage to submit in a timely manner hours).
  • Obtain and meet/layout necessary subcontractors as needed for job.
  • Communicate with Project Coordinator(s) to keep files up to date.
  • Write subcontractor contracts and change orders.
  • Write Revised estimates in Xactimate.
  • Write Addendums to estimates and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) in Excel
  • Get Signature from customer on Work Authorization, contracts, specifications, proposals and COS.
  • Explain all charges to customer.
  • Negotiate and verify payment setup.
  • Meet with customer when questions arise.
  • Maintain a relationship with customer throughout the project. Customer Service
  • Contact necessary insurance company personnel regarding coverage issues, code upgrades, questions or scope regarding loss to resolve.
  • Follow up with proper insurance person, get agreed cost; find out proper information regarding funds (WestRock name on draft, deductible amount, mortgage company, etc.).
  • Keep proper insurance personnel informed of changes, problems, and status of job.
  • Get estimate approval and contract value established (when possible) prior to job setup.
  • Maintain ongoing paperwork in timely fashion.
  • Meet adjustor when needed and include the project manager.
  • Meet with Project manager and customer to review and start job.
  • Review and update the status of projects every Friday, see example update for layout.
  • Inspect larger projects and stay current with knowledge of production.
  • If during a job visit something needs correcting, inform the Project Manager and all necessary Project Stakeholders.
  • Report any conversations with customer, insurance company or trades to Project Manager and Project Coordinator(s).
  • Review "job cost sheets" after Project Manager has approved invoices
  • Complete a working estimate in Xactimate.
  • Produce "Work Order" sheets in Xactimate for each trade spec, giving the Project Manager your estimated cost projections.
  • When project is complete prepare the billing/invoice and submit to Senior Project Coordinator and Office Manager.
  • Calls to customer for collection are the Sales/Estimators responsibility.
  • Calls to insurance carrier for collection are the Sales/Estimators responsibility.
  • Market new and existing adjustors/agents/Property Managers and Perspective Clients weeky.
  • Marketing involves taking existing and/or potential clients to lunch, dinner, sporting events, etc. to develop relationships.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of current California State driver's license with less than 2 points.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • No felony convictions (background check).
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Minimum of 23 years Xactimate knowledge and ability to produce comprehensive estimate from software.
  • Ability to navigate the internet.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to climb stairs, scaffold, and ladders.
  • Requires one to be able to crawl through attics and crawlspaces as needed.
  • Ability to bend, squat, lift frequently and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Be available 24/7/365 to handle any emergency.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.
  • May occasionally work on slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
  • Must work in environments such as smoke, wind, water, Category 2 and 3 water, fire, etc.

Pay:
From $72,000.00 per year
