- Daily inspection of product on the plant floor involving incoming, in-process and final inspections.
- Determining acceptance or rejection of incoming raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
- Ensuring quality procedures are understood and followed throughout the plant.
- Notifying appropriate departments of product deficiencies to enable expeditious resolution of the problem.
- For return products, verifying acceptability of product and reporting discrepancies as appropriate.
- Maintaining quality procedures and quality reports, as needed.
- Participating in continuous improvement processes and the documentation of those processes.
- High School diploma or GED; Associates degree in a technical area a plus.
- Certified Quality Inspector preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a quality control role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in use of various inspection devices.
- Ability to read and work from engineering prints.
- Ability to make decisions about the quality of products.
- Interpersonal skills that foster a positive work environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Leadership skills to facilitate employees to follow quality procedures and standards.
