    Sr. Controls Engineer

    Windsor Mill, MD

    $100,000-$130,000 Annual Salary + Semi-Annual Bonuses

    An established systems integrator that provides custom automation solutions across several industries is looking for a Sr. Controls Engineer to join their rapidly growing team The Sr. Controls Engineer will lead the Windsor Mill team in the design, development, documentation, implementation, and commissioning of automation control systems.     The Sr. Controls Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Programming PLC (programmable logic control), DCS (distributed control systems) and HMI (human machine interface) systems
    • Developing plant floor information systems
    • Overseeing project workflow and supporting internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of projects, expected quality, and allotted budget.
    • Leading project teams comprised of other local engineering resources
    • Meeting with Project Managers and ownership to assess project's statuses, customer satisfaction and assist with mentoring less experienced engineers.
    • Designing, developing, and documenting systems which meet customers' requirements.
    • Identifying gaps in existing OT networks and computing systems and making risk-based recommendations for improvement.
    • Communicating with customers, both at the office and on-site, to present your work and come up with unique solutions.
    • Designing and implementing OT network and cybersecurity measures to safeguard OT devices.
    • Engaging with other engineers to teach and learn project methodologies.
    • Traveling to customer sites to implement and test project deliverable (20%-40% regional travel)

    The Sr. Controls Engineer will excel with:

    • Bachelors (or higher) degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
    • 8-10+ years of Expertise with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and MES technologies.
    • Licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification a plus
    • Certifications from Industry Technology Partners.
    • Manufacturing cybersecurity certification such as GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent a plus.
    • Prior project leadership experience
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of programming concepts
    • Thorough knowledge of business application software (MS Office package)
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Displays a positive and professional demeanor
    • Demonstrates a flexible and cooperative working style
    • Must possess a valid driver's license
    • Willing to submit to drug testing and/or background checks as mandated for a) employment, and b) customer contract requirements

    The Sr. Controls Engineer will be rewarded with:

    • $100,000-$130,000 Annual Salary, Dependent on experience
    • Semi-Annual Performance bonuses averaging 3-5% each
