    Job DescriptionRole :

    System Engineer Splunk ITSILocation : Hybrid Visa : At least 6 months of valid work authorization(Citizen, GC, EAD, H-1B, OPT-EAD, H4-EAD)Need candidates who are local to MD or VA or East coast citiesNote : RECENT MARKETPLACE EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORYDuties/Responsibilities:Develops and applies advanced software/systems methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.

    May plan, conduct and technically contribute to projects or major phases of significant projects, collaborate on efforts with technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects.

    Will oversee the continued operations and glass table development of a Splunk ITSI platform. Analyzes, evaluates and plans method of approach and organizes means to achieve complex technical problem solutions. Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity and integration with other Splunk Enterprise. Identifies data flows, system thresholds and data sources into glass table requirements to visualize business processes. Reviews projects progress and evaluates results. Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis. Specifies materials, equipment and supplies required for completion and implementation of technical projects. Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. May provide technical consultation to technical staff or other organizations.

    Education: BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical engineering field

    General Experience:
    3+ years of experience with Cloud platforms or architecture2+ years of experience in a systems engineering, architect, or systems administration roleExperience with administering Windows- and Linux-based systemsExperience with Packer, Ansible, Cloud Formation Templates or TerraformAbility to script in Bash or PythonAbility to obtain a public trust clearance

    Specialized Experience:
    Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure GovernmentExperience with Infrastructure as Code using Azure Resource Management Templates, AWS Cloud Formation Templates, HashiCorp TerraformExperience with Splunk, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, Azure MonitorCertifications:Cloud certification at either Practitioner/Fundamentals level or Associate levelSplunk Enterprise Certified AdminSplunk Enterprise Certified ArchitectSplunk Core Certified ConsultantSplunk IT Service Intelligence Certified Admin
